Letter of Intent

To signify Fairfax County Public Schools’ commitment to continue growing our own teacher pipeline, the  Department of Human Resources will offer juniors and seniors enrolled in the Teachers for Tomorrow and Early  Childhood Careers programs an opportunity to receive an FCPS Letter of Intent. 

A Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) Letter of Intent signifies a commitment by FCPS to offer the recipient a  guaranteed interview for a teaching position. FCPS Letter of Intent recipients must be enrolled in an accredited  collegiate teacher preparation program and must reach at least sophomore standing to obtain an interview.  Interviews will be held during our annual Back2Fairfax Teacher Seminar event. Individuals who interview  successfully will receive a recruitment contract for future employment as an FCPS teacher.

Recruitment Contract

An FCPS Recruitment Contract signifies a commitment by FCPS to offer successful recipients a recruitment  contract for a future teaching position with FCPS. FCPS Recruitment Contract recipients must successfully complete  an accredited collegiate teacher preparation program, in addition to meeting all FCPS employment requirements,  for Recruitment Contract and employment eligibility.
