End of Year SMARTR Outcome

Decrease achievement gaps in Math by raising or maintaining all subgroups at level 1 for combined Math SOL’s. 

Strategy 1

  • Implement literacy to support instruction by using strategies supported by the Instructional Coach for student achievement across all content areas.  

Strategy 2

  • Invoke formative assessments prior to unit tests allowing for more data dialogues around student achievement.

Strategy 3

  • Provide ongoing support and professional development for Algebra 1 CT to include the Math Workshop Model in the classroom. 

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

Decrease student dropout rates to achieve level 1 status.

Strategy 1

  • Provide students and families with information regarding alternative programs like Adult Education (Herndon) & TSRC and facilitate visitations and the enrollment process 

Strategy 2

  • ESOL/On-time graduation counselor (MTSS Team member) will meet regularly with students and families to support on-time graduation.

Strategy 3

  • Identify students who are at risk of dropout and intentionally include them in career center programming via personal invitation to students & families.

End of Year SMARTR Outcome 

To support a Caring Culture, SLHS will develop a MTSS Team to properly identify students and provide support for Tier 2 and 3 interventions in academics, behavior, and wellness.

Strategy 1

  • MTSS Team will use data to identify students in need of academic support and determine best supports for each individual student.

Strategy 2

  • MTSS Team will use data to identify students in need of behavioral support and determine best supports for each individual student.

Strategy 3

  • MTSS Team will use data to identify students in need of mental wellness support and determine best supports for each individual student.
