Growth and Performance in Coursework
Goal
By June 2024, 90% percent of students required to take the WIDA, RI, MI exams will take the exams in each administration window. 75% of students identified from RI/MI exams as below basic/basic will progress to the next level(s) by June of 2024. The number of students who demonstrate progress in language acquisition through the WIDA will increase by 10% by June of 2024.

Evidence of Progression Towards or Successful Completion of Advanced Coursework
Goal
By June of 2024, students accessing advanced academics will increase by 10% as measured by the number of students enrolled in AAP classes. Also, by June of 2024 students earning a C or better in an honors course will increase by 10%. **Data used will only reflect those students enrolled in an honors class.

Student Attendance and Absenteeism Rates
Goal
By June of 2024, SLHS will reduce our Chronic Attendance (CA) rate for our school from 21.9% to 19.7% as measured by the CA dashboard.
Strategy 1
Strengthening messaging to staff, students and families around attendance to school. Each stakeholder should be able to understand how daily attendance matters, not only for academic success, but because school offers an opportunity to develop social and emotional skills such as listening, paying attention, problem-solving and self-regulation, all which are needed to grow and learn.
Strategy 2
Strengthen school team practices to monitor attendance data and determine need for intervention and additional support.
Strategy 3
Understand root causes of student absenteeism. Strengthen programmatic responses to attendance barriers.
Discipline Disproportionality and Recidivism
Goal
By June of 2024, we will reduce our Recidivism and Discipline Disproportionality (RDD) ratio by one point for both our students with disabilities (SWD) (from 3.31 to 2.31) and our students who receive free/reduced meals (from 3.85 to 2.85) as measured by the discipline dashboard and RDD database.
Strategy 1
Utilize an MTSS framework to establish and organize a schoolwide continuum of proactive behavior and wellness supports.
Strategy 2
Integrate consistent analysis of discipline data disaggregated by subgroups (race/ethnicity, SWD, EL, FRM).
Strategy 3
Establish a positive and affirming schoolwide and classroom culture conducive to student engagement.
Growth and Performance on State Assessments in Science
Goal
Increase the pass percentage on the Biology, Chemistry, and Earth Science SOLs by 10% by June 2024 for students in identified subgroups (SWD, Black, ELLs, and HIspanic students).

Growth and Performance on State Assessments in Math
Goal
By June of 2024, SOL pass rates will increase by 10% in the SWD and the black subgroups as measured by the SOL scores on all math SOLs.
