All Students are encouraged to pickup their FCPSOn laptop during our distribution windows before the first day of school.

Students who don't come in during the distribution window will be issued a laptop during the first week of school.

Parents are NOT required to accompany students to pickup their FCPSOn laptop.

Note: Bring your school identification card with you.

Laptop Distribution for 2021-2022

All students are encouraged to pickup their FCPSOn laptop before the 1st day of school.

Parents, you are welcome to join your child, but are not required to accompany your student. If you have a laptop from a different FCPS school, please arrange to return to that school before picking up your new SLHS laptop.  If you cannot, then you must bring your old laptop with you when you come to pick up your SLHS laptop.

When you arrive at the school, please make sure you are wearing a mask and enter via Door 1.  Distribution will take place in the Cafeteria. You will be issued your FCPSOn laptop and perform a quick series of checks before you leave.  Directions will be provided for you.  If you run into any issues, staff will be on hand to assist.

• August 10th  2-7pm (Last Names A - F)
• August 11th  2-7pm (Last Names G - M)
• August 12th  2-7pm (Last Names N - Z)

If you are not able to pick-up your laptop on the 10th - 12th we will offer 1 additional window on:

• August 17th  2-7pm (MakeUp Day)

• Door 1 is the best entrance to use (Flagpole side)
• Students must be present; a parent cannot pick up a laptop for a student before the 1st day of school
• Identity Verification:
  • Returning FCPS students, we will likely be able to look you up using your Student ID Number. To expedite the process, please bring one of the following forms of identification:
    • FCPS Student ID (preferred)
    • Other photo ID
    • Student User Name and Password
    • Parent photo ID (if using a parent photo ID, the parent must be present)
  • Students new to FCPS must have completed registration prior to pick up and bring one of the following forms of identification:
    • Student may present any photo ID with their name
    • Parent photo ID (if using a parent photo ID, the parent must be present)
• Please allocate at least 20 minutes to complete the checkout process
• Returning Students: knowing your password will expedite the process. If you do not know your password you will need to reset it. Use the Account Recovery tool to reset your password prior to arriving.

Prescreening Questionnaire

• Do you have a cough and/or sore throat?
• Have you had a fever in the last 72 hours (3 days)?
• Do you have any shortness of breath or is it hard for you to breathe?
• Is anyone in your house ill with a fever or cough?
• Have you had contact with someone known to have or under investigation for Coronavirus in the last 14 days (2 weeks)?

If the answer is YES to any of these questions you will be asked to exit and schedule another time for you to pick up your laptop.

If you do not have a reliable internet option at home, please email our South Lakes HS FCPSOn Team so we can work on providing assistance.

What if I already have a FCPSOn Laptop?

• If you already have a FCPSOn Laptop that was NOT issued by South Lakes HS, please return it to the issuing site.
• If you have a FCPSOn Laptop issued by South Lakes
  • You will be contacted via email during the 1st week of August.
  • If your laptop was issued to you AFTER June 1st, 2021, you can keep your existing laptop for the 2021-2022 school year.
  • If your laptop was issued to you BEFORE June 1st, 2021, please return it to South Lakes HS as soon as possible so it can be prepared for the upcoming school year.  Laptops can be returned to the SLHS Main Office between 8am - 1pm Monday - Friday.
