South Lakes is one of 21 schools in Virginia to receive this award, and was recognized for eight projects it sponsored this year.  The SGA sponsors a freshman and new student orientation,  pep rallies, a canned food drive for the FCPS bus drivers pantry, a book drive for a local elementary school, faculty and staff appreciation activities, and the Unity Wall of inclusive posters (pictured).  SGA representatives will receive recognition at the VSCA convention in late March.  Contact news liaison Emily Burrell at @email.
