Matt Ravenstahl, SLHS Art Teacher, is one of the two Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) art educators that have been recognized by the Virginia Art Education Association (VAEA) with Teacher of the Year awards for their dedication and outstanding commitment to students.

Matt Ravenstahl was awarded the Virginia Secondary Art Educator of the Year. He has been an art teacher at South Lakes High School for the last two decades and personifies the artist- teacher-researcher, combining passion and energy to benefit his students.  Read the full News Release.
