Each year, the Rotary Club of Reston awards a scholarship to a graduating senior who has been involved in Career & Technical Education courses. The total amount of the scholarship is $3000. $1500 will be paid for the first year of school. After successfully completing the first year, the recipient will qualify for a second year of $1500.

We are pleased to present the Rotary Club of Reston’s 2021 Scholarship to Miguel Martinez. In the fall, Miguel will be attending Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, and will major in Culinary Arts.
Miguel’s Career and Technical Education Courses included Introduction to Culinary Arts, Culinary Arts I and Culinary Arts II.

Miguel had a position at a local restaurant, Glory Days Grill, as part of the Fairfax County Public Schools Internship Program. Miguel is an active soccer player with Reston soccer.
